  • North Sweden seminar on the TEN-T and Core Network Corridors at the European Parliament


    North Sweden European Office, together with the regional offices in Brussels concernd by the Bothnian Corridor in northern Norway, northern Sweden and northern Finland arranged a seminar on the future of the TEN-T Core Network Corridors. The seminar was held at the European Parliament on 18 October 2017.

  • Pat Cox will visit Almedalen Political Week 2017


    Mr Pat Cox, European Coordinator of Scandinavian-Mediterranean Core Network Corridor (ScanMed) will visit the Almedalen Political Week 3-5 July 2017 by invitation of North Sweden European Office and the Bothnian Corridor. Mr Cox will participate as keynote speaker at several seminars and also meet with Swedish regions along the ScanMed Corridor.

  • Norrbotten and Västerbotten meet EU transoprt infrastrucutre representatives


    Politicians as well as representatives from the industry and academia from Norrbotten and Västerbotten visited Brussels on April 26 for talks about ongoing work in the region and in the EU institutions regarding the development of transport policy and financial solutions for infrastructure investments.

  • New activities launched at the railways sections in Northern Sweden


    The North Bothnia Line (NBB) and the New East-Coast Line (NOKB), both part of the Bothnian Corridor, have launched new activities to highlight their importance in view of the national plan for transportation which will be published next year.

  • Europaforum Northern Sweden adopts position CEF


    During Europaforum Northern Sweden 2017 which was held February 22-23 in Sweden, a postion was adopted to establish the concept of "The Artic Triangle" as an extension of the Core Network Corridor Scandinavian-Mediterranean (Scan-Med) and as a priority along other priority witihn the Scan-Med.

    Pat Cox, European Coordinator of the Scandinavian-Mediterranean Core Corridor, visited Luleå and Kiruna May 30-June 1, 2016 for discussions on the transport system of Northern Scandinavia and the European Arctic.

    At the twenty-second session of the Europaforum North Sweden (EFNS) in Piteå, the four northernmost counties in northern Sweden adopted five common policy positions on circular economy, reception of migrants, cohesion policy, wind power and biomass.
