In the coming years, the industries of northern Sweden will invest more than 100 billion euros in large-scale projects to pave the way for the hydrogen-driven industrial transition. These projects will utilize the stable supply of renewable energy from wind and hydropower and novel hydrogen technologies that drastically lower the European CO2 emissions. Simultaneously, the cities and regions are taking measures to support the industrial transition by scaling up and welcoming more skills to the region.
