NSPA Forum in Skellefteå

Welcome to join us for the annual forum of Northern Sparsely Populated Areas (NSPA) which brings together the regions of northern Sweden, Finland and Norway on EU topics! The registration is open.

There are several green industrial establishments and innovative sustainable projects going on in northern Scandinavia right now. Northern Europe is a leading region in the European Green Deal and the regions want to do everything to deliver in EU:s climate transition. There are though some challenges and specific conditions that regions face in the north, which they are to handle in the near future in order to be able to deliver the Green Deal to the EU.

The NSPA forums supposed to take place during 2020 and 2021 were unfortunately canceled due to the corona pandemic, but now the ambition is to take new steps forward in the cooperation between the northernmost regions of the European Arctic on the EU arena.

Focus will lay on cross border cooperate in the European Arctic, but also on joint projects and development work in common areas where there is a need and potentials for the benefit of sustainable development across borders in northern Sweden, Finland and Norway with support from the EU.

When?

The 24-25 of Mars from lunch to lunch.
