Welcome to the Arctic Futures Symposium 2024

The 15th edition of the Arctic Futures Symposium will take place in Brussels on 2–3 December.

The conference is organised by the International Polar Foundation together with North Sweden European Office along with several Arctic stakeholders and will focus on crucial issues affecting the Arctic. Topics will include the Arctic Council's vision for the future, transatlantic cooperation, working towards a lower tension in the Arctic, labour and resilient communities, innovation and regional cooperation for sustainable solutions, and critical raw materials and sustainable supply chains.   

Several side events will also take place until 4 December. These include a film screening during the Arctic Shorts Film Evening and a seminar on sustainable development in the ocean and green transition which is organised by Arctic Frontiers and the University of Bergen.
